We cater to homeowners who want to DIY or want to be more involved in the renovation process. We take a hybrid approach to Design-Bid-Build and Design + Build to offer better value and more flexibility in servicing our clients.

We’re happy to initiate the construction bidding process on your behalf with builders who we recommend and trust. The advantage of this method is that we work directly with our partnered contractor and have their valuable input from day 1 until the completion of your project. This makes for a seamless design + build with less disruption to the timeline while having full transparency between all parties.

When construction starts and problems arise or small changes need to be made, we’ll make it easier to resolve them as we work side-by-side with the builder. We'll be your design advocate who works to protect your investment and guide you through each stage of the project while acting as the liaison between service providers, suppliers, and contractors.

Our method starts with a virtual consultation and e-Design process that defines the scope of work and delivers a custom design and detailed plans into a Curated Design Box that gets mailed to your home. Similar to selecting from an a-la-carte menu, we’ll tailor our services according to your needs and with your budget in mind. You can choose to continue to work with us for the full duration of the project or on aspects of the project, such as architectural drawings, project management, materials procurement, permitting, and construction bidding. Or, you can take your custom design and construct it how you see fit and with contractors of your choice. Together, we’ll design and build a healthy, functional space that integrates your lifestyle and your vision.

Design-Bid-Build is a delivery method of service where the client hires a consultant, in this case a designer to complete the required documentation and drawings for construction. This is followed by tendering bids from general contractors to determine the lowest price and best fit for the documented scope of work.

Design-Build is another delivery method that offers a turn-key solution where the entire project, design+build is all done in house and all responsibilities are delegated to the sole Design-Builder.

At Amaba Design, we take a hybrid approach to Design-Bid-Build and Design+Build to offer better value and more flexibility in servicing our clients.

A simple, virtual design solution that combines D.I.Y with professional interior design services. All communication and services are done remotely online via e-mail and through a digital design studio. Interior design services are now more accessible and affordable, allowing everyone the opportunity to design a space that functions well and shows off their style. You'll receive a digital custom design package and a step-by-step guide to help you complete your project!

+ What is a curated design box?

At Amaba Design, our Kitchen & Bathroom Renovation service is delivered by using the e-design method to complete the design development phase of the project. In addition to your e-design package, we will also send you a curated design box with your design plans and samples and have them shipped to your home. An easy and simple solution to finalizing your decisions and moving your project forward without having to visit multiple showrooms.

+ Where are your services available?

Our office is located in Toronto, Ontario.

For Full Scope Kitchen & Bathroom Renovations (Design + Build) - we serve clients in the Greater Toronto Area. However, we offer complete design packages through our e-Design services to clients all across Canada. We can deliver a design package for homeowners who wish to hire their own contractor and complete the permit process themselves.

+ What safety measures are in place while operating during COVID-19?

We offer Virtual Design Consultations & e-Design service packages. All communication and deliverables will be done remotely online via e-mail and through our virtual studio portal. Our clients get access to their private studio account where they can share photos, measurements of the space, and more.

For local Design + Build projects where we will be working on-site and if required to meet in person, we will ensure that we practice all safety requirements for all workplaces under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
